About Meat Church

Meat Church is the brand identity at the center of this account, but the turning point is sensory and specific. On a visit to Central Texas, Matt Pittman tasted salt-and-pepper brisket and found the experience that focused his interest in barbecue.

Family instruction came first: Matt Pittman learned beside Grandma June in Alabama, where simple, great-tasting food mattered. Later, his own backyard cookouts expanded into barbecue competitions.

An appearance on BBQ Pitmasters marked another stage for Matt Pittman. When the seasoning side began, Meat Church Holy Cow became Matt Pittman's first rub, linking the competition path to a product people could use at home.

For Meat Church, community means giving barbecue lovers usable knowledge as well as seasonings, all directed toward making better barbecue. Learn guidesEducation gives the Meat Church community a way to carry the story forward, turning lessons and seasonings into better results around individual pits and tables.

The personal setting is Texas, where Matt Pittman lives with Tracie, his wife, and their four kids.
